Calibrate correctly for precise filling

Calibration is an often underestimated but crucial step when filling products. If you want to ensure that every package contains the right amount, there is no getting around careful calibration of the filling machine.

Before a filling machine is put into operation, it must be precisely adjusted – this process is called calibration. It ensures that the machine fills exactly the right amount of product and does not dose too much or too little. Without correct calibration, deviations from the target weight can easily occur, which causes unnecessary costs and can affect customer satisfaction.

Batches can differ, especially with fresh or handmade products, which is why we recommend recalibrating when changing batches. Temperature changes or changes in pressure conditions in the container may also make recalibration necessary.

Calibration is carried out with the Fillogy® in just a few simple steps. A calibrated scale or a container with a calibrated scale is used to check whether the quantity filled corresponds to the specification. If this is not the case, the machine can be readjusted accordingly. It is possible to calibrate within a stored recipe or on a daily basis.

Tip:
A recalibration should be carried out after 50 liters of filling volume at the latest. This ensures your quality standard and minimizes fluctuations.
